The Curse of Pele

Thank you for dealing with our surprise hiatus. We had an unexpected flood at our house that destroyed all of our podcast equipment! From the flood, Jon then was almost hit by a driver driving the wrong way. Then, a semi-truck dropped it's gravel load onto one of our cars! That's when we realized something was up.
It turns out, that there is a curse that you can get while traveling in Hawaii. The curse of Pele. If you take any volcanic rock from the island, you will have bad luck until the lava rock is returned. We had no idea! So, the rock has been mailed back and we are feeling like things are turning around.

Key West- The Lobster Roll That Never Was

If you got to Key West, you need to get a Lobster Roll from The Lobster Shack. That's what everyone will tell you. But, after waiting in a long line to try a roll, Jon dropped the delicious hoagie before Jenn even had a bite! And there's no five-second-rule in Key West. Trust us.
There is so much to do on this tiny island. From the moment you land (and you land HARD, because the runway is so short), you can walk/bike/take a conch train around to explore. Make sure to go to Sloppy Joes, The Ernest Hemmingway House and if you're adventurous enough...Garden of Eden.

New York- I'll Have What She's Having

Ready to check out the Big Apple? Make sure to listen to this episode first! Jon and Jenn share travel tips on how to get cheap Broadway tickets and how to experience Central Park in a way you won't get overwhelmed. As many debate over the best pizza in the city, Jon and Jenn know the answer. In fact, they ate there two days in a row!

Vegas- Without Kids

Going to Vegas with and without kids creates a very different experience! In this episode, Jon and Jenn talk about what to do in Las Vegas without children. The two best things about Vegas are the pools and restaurants. Some of their favorite restaurants are Buddy V's, Morimoto, Eifel Tower and Guy Savoy. 
 
Trying to figure out the best hotel to stay at? MGM Grand is their favorite, but in this episode they'll also review The Linq, Venetian, Mandalay Bay, New York New York and more. Also the best shows on the strip. Have you seen "O"? What about "La Reve"? Jon also shares a story about seeing David Copperfield and leaving his drivers license back home!

Bear Lake- The Caribbean of the Rockies

Why is a lake that straddles Utah and Idaho called the "Caribbean of the Rockies"? The water is so clear, you can almost see to the bottom! There is a reason that people fly in to find such a hidden gem. Not to mention to try out their famous raspberry shakes! It's easy to find a shake, it's harder to figure out which place is the actual "original". 
 
If you love to camp, there are campgrounds within half a mile of the water. If you love to glamp, the Conestoga Ranch has got you covered. There are multiple RV and camper parks as well as hotels and AirBnBs! Plus you can rent a boat for the day to explore all 7 miles of the lake. Although Jon and Jenn learned that it gets really windy for a pontoon boat in the afternoon!

London- What a Girl Wants

Inspired by us watching the great Amanda Bynes movie "What a Girl Wants", we're sharing with you our trip to London, England. Jenn and Jon have two very different ways to travel. Jenn loves taking a sleeping pill and Jon loves staying awake stressing about turbulence. This week's episode shares stories from the Tower of London (they have Ravens!) to the West End to the great search for some drink called a Pimm's Cup.
