Austin: Keep it Mild

Yes, Austin's slogan is "Keep Austin Weird". But not when Jenn's in town!
Austin is known for their live music. Did Jenn visit? No.
They have an amazing food truck location called The Picnic. Did she eat there? Nope.
But at least she saw the Congress Bridge Bats! Well...no. In fact, she doesn't believe that the bats are even real.
Don't worry, even with Jenn's mild visit, we'll still tell you the great spots to visit while in Austin. Including a nude beach!

Zion National Park- The OG in Utah

Have you ever heard of The Mighty 5? It's the 5 big National Parks in Utah; Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef and Zion. Zion is Utah's first National Park and home of Angels Landing, the Emerald Pools Trail and the Narrows. In the Summer, this park averages about half a million people a month! You can backpack, canyoneering, hike, horseback ride...really anything that's outdoorsy. 
Or just drive! The Zion-Mount Caramel Highway allows you the chance to journey over a mile through a mountain. Or the Zion Canyon scenic drive will allow you the chance to see some of Zion's most famous landmarks.

Seattle- Where it Never Rains

Everyone who lives in Seattle will tell you that it always rains. You know what? We have never had it rain while visiting!
Seattle...home of Chris Pratt, Hillary Swank, Macklemore, and Starbucks! Yes, you can actually visit the OG Starbucks on your vacation. It's right next to Pike's Place Market, which is a must for any tourist. You can see the fish get thrown around and then enjoy some clam chowder from Pike Place Chowder. Before you leave, make sure to visit the Market Theater Gum Wall.
Just outside of downtown is the Seattle Space Needle and the Freemont Troll. Both are a must for your first time. Other fun spots to visit are the Seattle aquarium, Seattle Great Wheel, and Museum of Pop Culture!
Did you know that Washington has a lot of wineries too? It's not just Sonoma, Napa or Portland that makes great wine. Washington's oldest winery, Chateau St Michelle is a must.

Park City- The Greatest Snow on Earth

Park City is so much more than a ski town!
Jon and Jenn share their favorite winter activities to do in this city, just 30 miles from Salt Lake's airport. First off, did you know that the Sundance Film Festival is held there every January? Jon once ran into Mary-Kate Olsen, or maybe it was Ashley Olsen during Sundance. Jenn ate next to Woody Harrelson!
Plus, the Utah Olympic Park is in Park City. Utah hosted the Olympics in 2002 and this museum lets you see the different events up close, including riding in a bobsled!
If you're not into the cold, you can soak in the homestead crater: a geothermal crater that you can swim, scuba or paddle board in.
But yes...the skiing and snowboarding in Park City is what brings in the tourists. You can choose from Deer Valley, Park City Mountain, Canyons or Woodward. All are special for their own reasons. Jenn talks about the fancy Montage Resort as well.

Maui- Don‘t Snorkel with Fish Food in Your Pockets

Have you ever been to Maui? If not, trust us when we tell you that EVERYONE will tell you to stop at Costco right after your flight. They're right! It'll help keep costs down.
Jenn tells a hilarious story about snorkeling with fish food in her pocket. Should you do The Road to Hana? What about the Old Lahina Luau? Yes! If you've never been before. But those are more "one and done" kind of events. For your next trip, Haleakala National Park is a must. If you're up for a hike, Waihe’e Ridge Trail is breathtaking. Both will take you above the clouds.
There is a debate on which side of the island to stary on. It really depends on what you're looking for in your vacation. It doesn't matter where you pick, you'll feel relaxed the moment you get off the plane. Unless you're Jon who wears seven layers on the plane and then sweats until he reaches the resort.

Are Disney Cruises Worth It? Part 2

Part 2 of our tips about cruising with Disney! Our family took a trip on Disney Cruise Line's "The Dream".
Make sure to dress up for Pirate Night, leave the kids at the Kid's Club and make those reservations!
If you want the best spot for the fireworks, make sure that you are on the starboard side! Plus, fun fact, the Disney Cruise fireworks are made out of fish food.
Looking for a fancy night out? You can't go wrong with either of the specialty dining options; Remy and Palo. Both do cost extra but are worth it! Palo leans Italian while Remo is your classic French cuisine.

Are Disney Cruises Worth It? Part 1

Jon and Jenn have so much to talk about when it comes to cruising with Disney! The family spent a week on Disney Cruise Line's "Dream". The Disney Cruise Line fleet consists of the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
They share their tips for boarding early, decorating your room and making sure you are on the Disney Cruise Facebook page. In fact, there is so much info, this is only part 1!
One tip was to arrive a day early if you are flying in from the West Coast. There are so many great activities at night, if your children are used to going to bed early, it can be a struggle to stay up.
Plus, the kid's club is a highlight for everyone!
